had only one loss and a draw, for the season to date. The first half, Midlands started strongly, and had a big territorial advantage, going close to scoring once, only to be denied by the touchline. Blues illdiscipline cost them dearly, and by the time came for halftime, they were trailling by 9 points to nil, courtesy of three penalties to Aaron Kumara. In the second half, the Midlands team started strongly again, and when Scott Cowan scored, after a good break and offload by Kumara, the score went out to 16 to nil. Not long after that Kumara kicked another penalty, and it looked likely that Midlands were going to register an easy win. But no one told James Wilson that, he came back and scored two tries and a penalty, making the score 19 to 12 to Midlands, it was game on after that. About ten minutes to go Kumara kicked another penalty, the score now was 22 points to 12 and now it was a matter of holding on till the end, which they did. It was a great win, based on some strong forward work, and some brilliant defensive work from the backs. Ray Hemi had another strong game, along with hooker Mitch Johnston and prop Jarrod Collie, Damien Pulley was a standout in the loose. In the backs, Scott Cowan got the points decision over his opposite Sam Muir, and the partnership between Aaron Kumara and Tony Dodunski in the centres, is probably the best in the competition. Willy Umu looked for work all day, and Mark Wells at fullback was a tower of strenght all day, with his strong running and kicking a feature. The Midlands machine keeps marching on, and now to next Saturday, when they play Star again, at Centennial Park Winton,so i want to see a big crowd at the park on Saturday to cheer home their boys. !!SEE YOU THERE!!
