Then not long after, after a scrum close to Marists line, Tom Fleming went over, again converted by Aaron Kumara.14--3 to Midlands at the break. After half time, Jack McQuire chipped a ball over the Marists heads, Willy Umu gathered and raced away untouched to score, converted from wide out by Kumara. Then halfway through the second half, after a good backline move from Midlands, Willy Umu was on the end of a good pass to score his hattrick, which was again converted by Aaron Kumara. Josh McAtamney got on the score board not long after with a good backline move, Kumara again converted Midlands in front 35--11. Blair Vining again got on the scoreboard, continuing his good run this year, with four so far, which Kumara converted 42--18 the lead. Then near the end of the game, after a slick backline move, saw James McLean go over, McLean couldn't convert, final score Midlands 47-- Marist 25. Billy Christie, Ray Hemi, Tom Fleming and Brendan Mitchell had strong games for Midlands and in the backs Aaron Kumara, Mark Wells, Willy Umu and James McLean at firstfive all played well.
