
Aaron Kumara slotted a penalty making it 10 points to 3. Pirates/Old Boys scored shortly after, then it was locked up at 10 points all. Not long before the break, Mark Wells scored, again converted by Kumara, score 17 points to 10. Pirates/Old Boys game back and scored then converted, at the break it was 17 points all. Then into the second half, Kumara kicked a penalty, 20 points to 17, and Midlands were in front again. Pirates/Old Boys scored again making it 22 to 20 in there favour, then back game Midlands with Kumara kicking another penalty 23 to 22. The game was see sawing back and forwards, untill, Midlands gave away two penalties throuigh ill discipline, Pirates/Old Boys were in the lead by 28 to 23. Close to the end of the game, Josh McAtamney scored for Midlands and it leveled out at 28 all, this time Kumara couln't convert and it ended up a draw. Mark Wells,Tony Dodunski, and Billy Christie had strong games, along with Aaron Kumara, Damien Pulley(on his 30th birthday) Scott Cochrane and Brian Anderson.
